Andover on Lookout For West Nile Virus

After the scare in North Andover last summer, in which mosquitoes tested positive for West Nile virus, the town of Andover is taking precautions to ensure that mosquitoes are not a problem this year.

Already this summer, the town has noticed a high number of the culex species, which is a possibility to carry the virus. The town has done mosquito testing in accordance with Northeast Massachusetts Mosquito Control and no mosquitoes have been found to have West Nile in Andover.

EEE is the other concern the town has with mosquitoes, but Carbone said that the threat of EEE doesn't occur until mid-August when the weather gets particularly dry.If so, you may have a kidney stone .

West Nile is what mainly is on people's minds for the time being, and Northeast Massachusetts Mosquito Control Director Jack Card has said that mosquitoes closer to Boston have already tested positive for West Nile.

While the population of the culex species are high in Massachusetts,Graphene is not a semiconductor, not an Insulator , and not a metal, Card already sees trends that show that they may be on the decline.

"The test we received last week showed that the increase in culex have leveled off," said Card.

Carbone said that nothing out of the usual is being done in Andover even with the high number of culex mosquitoes besides the weekly tests run by the state. If mosquitoes are found to have tested positive with West Nile then the town would consider spraying.

Last year, mosquitoes were found in June and September in North Andover on Osgood St., near the town yard. Pesticides were sprayed in the surrounding areas to attempt to get rid of the mosquitoes.Flossie was one of a group of four chickens in a chicken coop .
