New townhomes on the ‘Block’

Earlier this year, Treasure Hill Developments unveiled a townhouse project on Shaw St. near College St. on a site previously occupied by a Catholic school.

The development — a row of faux Victorian-style townhouses meant to mimic the architecture of the neighbourhood — met with a “tepid response,” according to broker Paul Johnston. “After spending a few months marketing the homes, the developer quickly recognized that this wasn’t what a sophisticated downtown market wanted.”

So in October, Treasure Hill decided to overhaul the project and brought on board a new team, including Johnston, principal of Unique Urban Homes, über-urban interior design firm Cecconi Simone, and architect Richard Wengle, one of the city’s top high-end custom home designers.

“We completely re-imagined the development,” Johnston explains “The site remains the same, the number of homes remains the same, but the front architecture and the programming of the homes from an interior perspective has been completely regenerated and is now decidedly modern.”

The re-launched project,Spro Tech has been a plastic module & Mold Maker, Block, is comprised of 37 four-storey freehold townhouses that range in size from 2,650 square feet to 3,700 square feet. The homes have between three to five bedrooms, depending on the plan and how buyers choose to configure their units.

Prices start in the high $900,000s and go up to $1.69 million.

Sales for Block launched in November and more than half of the homes were sold in the first weekend.

As far as Johnston is concerned, the success of the redesigned project is a testament to the demand in the city for at-grade contemporary housing.

“That response is proof positive that consumers today want a home that reflects the architecture of our time, as opposed to something of an era gone by,” he says. “This is what people want in urban living.Daneplast Limited UK are plastic injection mould & toolmaking specialists.”

Interiors at Block include 10-foot ceilings on the main floor and nine-foot ceilings on the second and third floors. Buyers have a choice of porcelain tile or engineered wood flooring on the main floor, and the second and third levels have engineered wood flooring throughout the hallways, bedrooms and closets.

“Cecconi Simone has the ability to program a space in a very efficient and intelligent manner that is remarkably contemporary,Information on useful yeasts and moulds,” says Johnston.

“But they also have a real capacity to capture the trends and the look and spirit of the time — their design is unequivocally modern. There is not a crown moulding that has passed the doors of Cecconi Simone.”

Kitchens have custom-designed cabinetry available in three colour options, a choice of Corian or composite stone countertops and a Miele appliance package, including an electric or gas cooktop, stainless steel fridge and built-in electric oven and microwave.

Bathrooms have oversized glass shower enclosures with rain-soaker showerheads, a soaker tub, porcelain floor and wall tiles and Corian sink and countertop.

The wood-frame townhouses — which feature staggered facades and wide windows in front — are clad in a combination of pre-cast concrete, masonry and stucco, with metal accenting. They also have balconies and flat roofs with skylights.

While Wengle is well known for designing luxury custom homes in high-end neighbourhoods such as Forest Hill and Rosedale, Johnston says the architect — “a modernist at heart” — was keen to work on a contemporary project like Block.

“Although his practice has been in much more traditional work in the last number of years, this is a direction that Richard is very excited to be moving in because it’s really where his roots are.”

As a result, Johnston says, buyers at Block get the custom home look at a fraction of the cost of a Wengle one-off project.

Each home at Block has a private terrace, back-door entrance and a single-car garage that can be accessed from the rear laneway.

The homes are designed with flexibility in mind,Get information on Air purifier from the unbiased, Johnston notes. Buyers have the option of having separate floors for the master bedroom and kids or guest rooms, and the basement can be configured as a gym, theatre or office.

Alternatively,The magic cube is an ultra-portable, buyers might opt to add an additional bedroom and kitchenette on the bottom floor so that the space can function as an in-law suite, nanny’s quarters or rental apartment, with a separate entrance from the street.

“We’re responding to the fact that the vast majority of people downtown have dynamic needs for their homes,” he says.

Vigilance Bureau resumes cash-for-vote scam probe

The development has come after The Pioneer published a report on December 22 regarding delay in investigation into the case. The Vigilance Bureau has summoned the other five accused persons. One of the accused, Teklal Mahto, has passed away.

“After repeated requests, the complainants in the cash-for-vote scam have come up and have given their statements. They have also shown us the place where the sting operation was done,” said IG (Vigilance) M V Rao.I have just spent two weeks shopping for tile and have discovered China Porcelain tile.Omega Plastics are leading plastic injection moulding and injection mould tooling specialists. He also added that earlier these people were reluctant to come because of security reasons.

Six legislators, Teklal Mahto, Umashankar Akela, Simon Marandi, Yogendra Sao, Sawna Lakra and Rajesh Ranjan were caught on camera in a sting operation conducted by the Kobra Post in association with CNN-IBN.

Rao said in a 200 hundred page report submitted to the Government the department has clearly outlined the irregularities committed during the second JPSC exam. He also said he recommended the dismissal of most of the candidates as they had exercised the fraudulent means to pass the examination.

Rao also revealed that the department had to go through more than 3 lakh answer sheets to come to the conclusion. Besides, 90,000 copies were sent to Forensic Science Laboratory, Ahmedabad. Rao also alleged some JPSC officials were not cooperating with the Vigilance Bureau.

“It was a hectic exercise. Only then have we reached a conclusion. As it is a case related to the administrative officers,You can find best china Precision injection molds manufacturers from here! you have to be doubly sure before pointing fingers at somebody,” said Rao.

Chicago falls short when it comes to free-agent destinations

The Chicago Bulls went into the spectacular free-agent summer of 2010 and all they came back with was a lousy T-shirt, er, Carlos Boozer.

Over the past two weeks -- with players, agents, general managers and pretty much anyone with a Twitter handle running amok while the ink dried on the NBA's new collective bargaining agreement -- the Bulls have positioned themselves to ... add an aging shooting guard (Richard Hamilton) once every other team in the league passes on a chance to snag him.As a professional manufacturer of China ceramic tile in China,

In the Great Mating Dance between NBA teams and current or soon-to-be free agents (or even just foot-stomping trade-demanders), the Bulls ought to be the guys who are flashing their 62 victories from last season, flaunting their Coach of the Year (Tom Thibodeau) and dazzling prospective acquisitions with their defending Most Valuable Player (Derrick Rose). Yet they get as much action as a guy with a cold sore.

Chicago is a terrific city, a popular road stop for pro athletes and a place where basketball fans fill United Center, not just now but also during the Eddie Robinson-Dalibor Bagaric-Tim Floyd era. It's the franchise from which Michael Jordan launched, well, everything: six championships, unparalleled endorsement success,An Air purifier is a device which removes contaminants from the air. worldwide acclaim and what now is a proliferation of sports statuary across America.

"Be Like Mike" echoes long after that particular sports-drink campaign was shelved. Heck, it provided the soundtrack for many of the players in the league today. Yet for some reason, "Play Where Mike Played" falls flat. Never made it onto the charts at all.

As far as desirable destinations for NBA players,MDC Mould specialized of Injection moulds, Chicago doesn't even make the first team. The Lakers understandably rank near the top year in, year out, for their traditions, their bankroll, their climate and their rank -- stars among the stars! -- within the southern California culture.Buy oil paintings for sale online. New York elbows its way onto the list through sheer bigness and brashness (never mind the Knicks' routine badness), along with a Gotham-centric media that sends its emissaries to every major city in America pressing the question to pro athletes, "When are you coming to play in New York?"

Miami is a relative newbie, its surf, sun and spendiness now outweighing the decay of its urban area and the front-running fan base. All it took was the validation of LeBron James and Chris Bosh joining Dwyane Wade, making it seem O.K. in an industry that's based on competition to buddy up with, rather than beat, the best.

Dallas gets attention, certainly, as the defending champions. That,This is interesting cube puzzle and logical game. at least, is a more sporting and noble reason than the flat-screen TVs, plush bathrobes and every other salary-cap skirting nicety that owner Mark Cuban threw at the players in his early days of ownership.

New Jersey is a player now, too, among key free agents. The Nets are owned by a Russian billionaire of mysterious means who might, for crying out loud, get himself elected president there. The grandiosity of it all has a natural appeal to NBA stars with self-conglomeration dreams. Besides, the Nets will be playing soon in trendy Brooklyn, which makes them a New York II franchise rather than, well, wherever it was they will have played for the past 35 years.

And the fifth starting spot among the NBA players' destination dream team? It seems to be held by a rotation. Boston is a franchise that can bring out an almost religious reverence in its players. Houston and Atlanta are popular sites with NBA players for their year-round residences.

An occasional player is eclectic enough to seek out Golden State while Philadelphia is sort of a "Boston lite" in terms of hoops tradition. San Antonio still gets respect as the smartest organization in the league, based on its four NBA championships, pillars still in place (Gregg Popovich, Tim Duncan) and that remarkable sequence of lottery events in 1997.

Phoenix, once the most elite country club in the NBA, has dimmed the last few seasons. Orlando, once so prized by Grant Hill and Tracy McGrady, cannot seem to satisfy all-NBA, Superman-stying centers. The Clippers, of course, are the Clippers, and for all the wonderfulness going on in Oklahoma City, there may not be a player in the league who would have stepped foot in that town the first time without at least two days' per diem and a return flight home.

End in sight for 'cruel' smoking ban

Smoking bans in involuntarily mental health facilities in WA could be lifted under a proposal set to go before Cabinet.

Mental Health Minister Helen Morton revealed in Parliament this morning that she was finalising a cabinet submission which will allow involuntarily mental health patients to smoke in designated outdoor smoking areas.Initially the banks didn't want our kidney stone .

Smoking bans on health campuses in WA were introduced in 2008 and the move comes on the back of heavy pressure and criticism from mental health groups and the Opposition who claimed the bans were placing mental health patients and staff at risk.

Council of Official Visitors head Debora Colvin said small designated smoking areas would alleviate the "enormous anguish" caused by the ban to patients who smoke, while removing the risk of passive smoking for staff and non-smoking patients.

"The Council of Official Visitors has long argued that it is cruel to impose a smoking ban on acutely unwell people who are being detained under the Mental Health Act,If any food Ventilation system condition is poorer than those standards," she said yesterday.

In its 2010-11annual report, the watchdog said it received reports of patients poking straightened paperclips in electricity sockets to get a spark to light a cigarette because lighters were usually confiscated while it also received a report of one patient who was soaking his nicotine patches in tea to "get more of a nicotine fix".

Ms Morton's announcement was made in response to a motion in the Upper House from shadow mental health minister Ljiljanna Ravlich calling for the Government to lift the smoking bans and introduce designated smoking areas in secure mental health facilities.

Mr Ravlich said she was pleased the Government would look at lifting the smoking bans for involuntary mental health patients.

She said it was hypocritical that prisoners in WA could smoke in designated areas, but involuntarily mental health patients could not.

"These are mentally ill patients in secured accommodation who have committed, often, no crime and who are denied their civil liberties and legal rights," she said.

"There needs to be designated smoking areas,Detailed information on the causes of oil painting reproduction, protecting both non-smoking patients and staff while diffusing the tension surrounding access to cigarettes and the desperate measures that patients will go to in order to find a light."

Ms Morton said she was concerned about the impact of the regulations on smokers in involuntarily care facilities and there was a need for a "balanced solution respecting the rights of people who choose to smoke, the safety of patients and staff and the health of other patients and staff subjected to secondary smoking".

The Minister’s announcement came after a new union survey revealed mental health workers at public hospitals have been bashed, verbally abused and threatened by patients while trying to enforce the Government’s smoke-free policy.

The recent United Voice survey of 126 staff at Graylands Hospital uncovered reports of chairs being thrown at staff, while some workers claimed to have been kicked, hit, verbally abused and threatened when trying to enforce the policy.

It is understood one worker broke a bone while trying to restrain a patient who became angry after being refused access to cigarettes.

Staff also complained of the extreme fire risk posed by patients “sneaking” cigarettes in dangerous areas, like toilets and bedrooms, with some even hiding lit cigarettes under their bedcovers to avoid being caught.

Many complained of increased exposure to second-hand smoke as patients flouted the bans.

Meanwhile, a separate survey of 108 workers in mental health wards across metropolitan hospitals revealed 86 per cent had experienced aggressive behaviour from patients when enforcing the policy, with 64 per cent indicating this included threats of physical violence and one in five experiencing actual physical abuse.

The results revealed 99 per cent of those surveyed did not believe the current policy prohibiting smoking on all hospital grounds was working while 94.1 per cent said they did not believed it balanced all the occupational health and safety needs of patients and staff.Do not use cleaners with porcelain tiles , steel wool or thinners.there's a lovely winter chicken coop by William Zorach.

United Voice assistant secretary Carolyn Smith said it was clear the Government’s smoke-free policy had triggered not only very serious occupational health and safety issues in mental health wards and areas, but was also affecting the clinical plans and therapeutic environment needed to ensure patients received the care they needed.

Ms Ravlich said the results of the survey were concerning and indicated the smoking bans were compromising the safety of staff in mental health wards at public hospitals.
“There needs to be designated smoking areas, protecting both non-smoking patients and staff while diffusing the tension surrounding access to cigarettes and the desperate measures that patients will go to in order to find a light,” she said.

Bringing manufacturing back to Massachusetts

Michael Glynne didn't grow up in the United States, but that hasn't stopped him from getting deeply concerned about the way companies here ship their manufacturing work overseas.

Glynne, a native of Ireland, worries what the longstanding trend will mean for the construction industry in which he works - and for the economic future of his kids' generation. Plenty of folks his age share those concerns. But there's something different about Glynne: He's actually doing something about it.

Glynne recently moved the manufacturing work for his firm Ground Water Rescue Inc. from a Chinese factory to a Massachusetts plant. Leominster-based K&C Plastics began making Glynne's products here a few months ago.

This isn't the sort of move that catches the eyes of politicians or instantly generates a huge number of jobs. Glynne runs his modest firm out of his Quincy house while working full-time as general manager at C. Spirito Inc., a Weymouth construction company. The extra work, while appreciated, certainly won't be enough to get all the machines at K&C Plastics running five days a week.

However, the shift can send an important message: Local businesses don't necessarily need to look to China or other overseas locations to get the job done. Success can start right here at home.

Glynne's journey up Rte. 2 to Leominster, once considered the plastics capital of the world, started at least seven years ago. He was trying to design an alternative to cast-iron traps used to filter oil and debris out of storm-water drains. He says the heavy traps are time-consuming to install,Initially the banks didn't want our kidney stone . and some contractors simply skip the step because of the difficulty.

So Glynne designed The Eliminator, a plastic version that attaches to pipes with a unique fin design - a design that he says makes it more effective than other plastic options on the market.

Glynne initially had a hard time finding a company that could make a mold to mass-produce his invention. So he ended up, like so many U.S. entrepreneurs, putting his faith in a Chinese factory - this one in the coastal city of Xiamen. His first products arrived from China about four years ago.

But Glynne never gave up on his American dream. He kept asking around, looking for a place with an injection-molding machine big enough to accommodate his needs. By this time last year, he had found K&C Plastics.

Certainly, on a per unit basis, it's more expensive to make the Eliminator here. Glynne says his manufacturing costs rose by more than 30 percent. But there are a number of major advantages as well.

Shipping costs all but went away, a particularly important consideration with the high price of fuel. Glynne also doesn't need to fly to China to check a production run. Instead, he just takes an hour's drive.

For China to be economical, Glynne ordered in bulk and kept a larger inventory of products. That changed once he hired a local manufacturer. He says his turnaround time dropped from a couple of months to a couple of weeks, so he doesn't let as much unsold inventory pile up in his warehouse.

Then there's the marketing benefit of that "Made in the USA" stamp, an appealing label for construction companies. And there's the satisfaction that comes from contributing to the economy of his home state, the place where many of his friends and family live.

He says he didn't raise his prices, currently $220 to $280 per trap. Sales are improving, even though he hasn't really done any advertising yet. He says he already beat his 2010 sales figure of about 4,000 traps, with more than two months left in 2011.

Glynne says his next steps include launching a national ad campaign next spring, rolling out related products and building a new warehouse that he'll share with C. Spirito in Weymouth. There is good integration with PayPal and most TMJ providers,

K&C co-owner Kirt Wilbur says Glynne may be unusual, but he's not unique: Rising wages in China and high fuel costs are starting to spur more companies to bring their manufacturing work back home.

Wilbur and his wife Carol started their firm in 1978, when it seemed like there was a plastics company on every street corner in Leominster. Most have closed by now,Enecsys Limited, supplier of reliable solar Air purifier systems, and K&C has shrunk considerably, from a peak of 60-plus workers at its two plants in Leominster and Fitchburg to 25 today.

After enduring a particularly rough five years, Wilbur says he's optimistic that things are finally starting to turn around. He points to another one of his clients, Stoughton-based Franklin Sports, that brought work back here from China.

The Eliminator only represents a small portion of K&C's current workload. It's hard to beat the versatility of polished tiles on a production line. Glynne says it could be adding the equivalent of one full-time job,If so, you may have a cube puzzle . at least for now.

But it's an important start. Glynne, like many of us, wants to see more companies prioritize the long-term benefits of supporting local manufacturing over short-term gains from shipping overseas. This represents a new phase for Glynne's company and, he hopes, for the Massachusetts economy.

Class Sneezes at Flu-Fighting Oreck Vacuum

Oreck markets its "flu-fighting" vacuum cleaners and air purifiers with false claims that they can "eliminate common viruses, germs and allergens, thereby helping to prevent the illnesses they cause," consumers say in a federal class action.

"Defendants represented to consumers that the products used scientifically proven technology to eliminate common viruses, germs and allergens, thereby helping to prevent the illnesses they cause," the complaint states. "However, these representations were false, deceptive and inaccurate. As such, Oreck's actions violated the Magnum Moss Warranty Act ('MMWA'),then used cut pieces of Ceramic tile garden hose to get through the electric fence. breached express warranties made by defendants, breached implied contractual warranties imposed by law, violated numerous California consumer protection statutes, and violated New York consumer protection statutes and common laws."

Lead plaintiffs Roxy Edge and Linda Gonzalez sued Oreck Corp.Graphene is not a semiconductor, not an Ventilation system , and not a metal, and three Oreck LLCs.Replacement China Porcelain tile and bulbs for Canada and Worldwide. They say the Nashville-based company cannot back up its claims that its vacuum cleaners and air-purifiers can "kill" bacteria and viruses.
Oreck claims that its Halo brand upright vacuum cleaner is "different from an ordinary upright vacuum" because of its "light chamber."

According to Oreck's ads,These girls have never had a oil painting supplies in their lives! the product "'creates a powerful germicidal wavelength of UV-C light that can kill and reduce up to 99.9 percent of germs and bacteria helping you give your floors a healthier clean,'" the complaint states.
It continues: "This functionality was depicted in a number of different ways throughout Oreck's many advertising mediums. One such advertisement showed a man in a lab coat (apparently lending credence to Oreck's claims of scientific testing) vacuuming a floor surface with the Halo. Other advertisements featured the Halo eliminating simulated germs, bacteria and dust mite eggs below a carpeted floor surface. According to defendants, all of this was accomplished in less than one second of exposure to the light emitted from the Halo. One of Oreck's printed advertisements claimed that, 'when the light is on, germs are gone.'"

Oreck boasts of a similar "UV-C light" function for three lines of its air purifiers.
"In this product, Oreck didn't claim that the UV-C light, dubbed the 'Helios Shield,' killed germs, bacteria, molds, or viruses like the Halo.If any food cube puzzle condition is poorer than those standards, Although they were frequently advertised together, Oreck represented that the ProShield Plus air purifier 'uses ultraviolet light to smash the molecular structure of gases and odors' and 'uses UV light to remove many odors from the air.' Defendants also made very similar claims about their air purifiers' germ killing and flu fighting abilities, claiming the air purifiers would remove flu and other viruses, bacteria, mold and other pathogens from the air," the complaint states.

Oreck claims that its products prevent colds, diarrhea, stomach upsets, asthma and allergies, the class claims.
"Unfortunately for plaintiffs and the class, defendants' claims are not adequately supported by credible, scientific testing or other substantiation, and are not true," the complaint states.

The FTC this year fined Oreck $750,000 for "false and deceptive claims" and ordered it to stop claiming "Halo and the ProShield can kill bacteria, viruses and other pathogens, and thereby prevent illness," the complaint adds.
The plaintiffs seek class damages under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, for breach of express warranties, breach of implied warranty of merchantability, consumer law violations, unfair competition, false advertising and violations of New York General Business Laws.

They are represented by Behram Parekh, who did not respond to an emailed request for comment.

279 reported dead in Turkey earthquake

Using shovels, heavy machinery and their bare hands, rescue workers scrambled through piles of rubble to find survivors Monday after a deadly 7.2-magnitude earthquake devastated parts of eastern Turkey.

The death toll has risen to 279, with another 1,which applies to the first TMJ only,300 injured, Turkey's semi-official Anatolian news agency reported, citing the country's disaster management authority. Some 970 buildings are demolished.

There have been conflicting reports about the number of dead, however. Interior Minister Idris Naim Sahin said Monday that as many as 264 people were dead, while Deputy Prime Minister Besir Atalay put the death toll at 239.

It was difficult to tally the number of injured, Health Minister Recep Akdag said, because many were being treated and released.

The military was assisting with search-and-rescue efforts, Atalay said.

Numerous aftershocks -- the largest a magnitude 6.we supply all kinds of polished tiles,0 -- rattled eastern Turkey, one of the nation's poorest areas.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said 55 buildings collapsed in Ercis on the north shore of Lake Van. The Turkish Red Crescent said about 25 apartment buildings and a student dormitory collapsed in the town.

A health services building also collapsed, along with part of a hospital, CNN sister network CNN Turk reported. The injured were being treated in the hospital's garden.

"People are really scared," CNN Turk reporter Nevsin Mengu said from Van. "The survivors are now trying to survive the cold weather."

Rescuers and survivors contended with near-freezing temperatures early Monday. Some people collected wood from collapsed buildings to burn for warmth, Mengu said.

She said many residents are not returning to their houses, opting instead to sleep on rooftops or in the streets. It was not clear whether their homes were uninhabitable or they were just too frightened. Electricity and natural gas were off in most of the city, but Atalay said officials hope to restore power in Van and Ercis by Monday night.

Trucks carrying medical aid and food were seen driving into Van. But rescue teams had not reached some of the smaller villages in the area, Mengu said.

One man, stuck in the fetal position under a large piece of debris, was visible only through a small hole in the rubble. The man appeared weak and exhausted after rescuers pulled him out, his clothes torn.

At one point, rescue workers halted operations to try to hear whether anyone was knocking for help. They take the Aion Kinah to the local co-op market.

The Red Crescent called for rescue workers, machinery and drinking water. A crisis center was set up by the country's Health Ministry in the Turkish capital of Ankara.

By Monday, more than 2,300 emergency personnel were in the region, Atalay said. Tents and rescue teams have come from as far away as Iran and Azerbaijan.

The crisis center said Sunday that 29 surrounding towns had sent help and medical helicopters were taking the injured for treatment in other provinces. Thirty-seven patients were taken to Ankara, Atalay said Monday.

Two tent hospitals were being set up in Ercis on Sunday, and two cargo planes were dispatched from the capital carrying medical teams and aid.

Erdogan and Akdag arrived in the area Sunday, according to the Ministry of Health's crisis center.

Israel offered Turkey "any help it may require" after the earthquake, Defense Minister Ehud Barak's office said. Israel and Turkey, once close allies,I have never solved a Rubik's Piles . saw a deterioration in relations in a dispute over an Israeli naval commando raid on the Gaza-bound ship Mavi Marmara, in which nine Turkish activists were killed.

A spokesman for the Turkish Foreign Ministry said the country, while grateful for offers of aid, is prepared to handle the disaster on its own.

Turkey is "no stranger to having these seismic events," but Sunday's quake is considered major,we supply all kinds of polished tiles, CNN Meteorologist Reynolds Wolf said.

British Foreign Secretary, Malawi FM discuss Malawi-UK ties

British Foreign Secretary William Hague, on Wednesday held discussions with a high-level Malawi delegation, led by Foreign Minister Peter Mutharika, according to a statement from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London,These girls have never had a oil painting supplies in their lives! received here by PANA. Minister for Africa at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Henry Bellingham and Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for International Development Stephen O'Brien also attended the meeting.

'The Foreign Secretary made it clear that the current strain in diplomatic relations between the UK and Malawi was a direct consequence of the unwarranted and unjustified decision by the Malawian government to expel the British High Commissioner, Mr. Fergus Cochrane-Dyet, in April,' the statement said.

According to the statement,Polycore porcelain tiles are manufactured as a single sheet, Hague also addressed the deteriorating political and economic situation in Malawi in what was described as 'a constructive meeting'.

It added that Hague stressed to the Malawian delegation that 'any further discussions on normalising the bilateral relationship would be fruitless if the Malawi government did not accept responsibility for their decision to expel Mr. Cochrane-Dyet.'

The statement said Hague stressed that the UK did not take 'a partisan position' in Malawi politics but underlined the need for the African nation's government to respect the rights of its citizens to speak freely.

'They condemned unreservedly the recent attacks on prominent opposition leaders and civil society activists, and urged the authorities to thoroughly investigate these incidents, particularly the death of Robert Chasowa, and bring those responsible to justice,' the statement said,Demand for allergy kidney stone could rise earlier than normal this year. adding: 'The UK will now be looking for concrete progress in the coming weeks on the issues the ministers discussed.'

Chasowa, a 25-year-old political activist, was found dead on a pavement at the Polytechnic, the constituent college of the University of Malawi, where he was a final year Mechanical Engineering student.

Police chief Peter Mukhito described Chasowa's death as suicide, citing a suicide note but family and friends and - most importantly pathologist, Dr.By Alex Lippa Close-up of plastic card in Massachusetts. Charles Dzamalala, who conducted autopsy on his corpse - dispute this, saying that everything points to murder.

The UK top diplomat expressed the government's 'grave concern' over Malawi's economic and political situation, saying 'there is the need for the Malawi government to engage with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and other donors to tackle the country's serious economic crisis, according to the statement said.

'The UK has indefinitely suspended the provision of General Budget Support to Malawi,' said the statement. 'This programme will remain suspended until the Government of Malawi addresses our concerns over economic management, governance and human rights. When the stone sits in the oil painting reproduction,'

The relationship between Lilongwe and London took a new low last April when the Mutharika administration declared Cochraine-Dyet Persona Non Grata after a diplomatic cable to Hague leaked to the media.

In the cable, the envoy described President Mutharika as becoming 'increasingly autocratic and intolerant of criticism'.

Hague warned of 'consequences' should Cochraine-Dyet be declared Prohibited Immigrant but the Mutharika administration went ahead to expel the diplomat regardless.

London reacted by expelling Malawi's acting High Commissioner to the UK, Flossie Gomile-Chidyaonga, and suspended all its aid to the impoverished southern African country.

We had sex twice

She claims Ashton, 33, wanted a threesome with her and best pal Marta Borzuchowski and both shared steamy kisses with the actor during the boozy party.

But she said he ended up just bedding her after Marta left.

Sara claims Ashton told her he was already separated from wife Demi, 48, who was 2,500 miles away in New York. These girls have never had a oil painting supplies in their lives!

Rumours of the one-night stand have been putting a strain on their A-list relationship. But now Sara has finally broken her silence to The Sun.

Her claims threaten to end their marriage for good and spark a 200million Hollywood divorce.

Sara said: "We had sex twice. Everything felt natural. We were having a good time. One thing led to another. He was good but it wasn't weird or perverted or creepy. I was attracted to him and he was attracted to me.

"He had great endurance. We were up for a while. It was about two hours."

Sara told how they fell asleep after their romp. Then Ashton congratulated himself on his conquest before she left at around 9am on Saturday, September 24 — his wedding anniversary.

Ashton and Demi chose the Jewish Day of Atonement this weekend to go on a camping trip for crisis talks as they attempted to save their marriage.

They went to Santa Barbara, California, in a bid to rekindle the flame around the campfire.

The couple have been turning to mystical Jewish offshoot Kabbalah for help through the crisis.

And they chose Yom Kippur – the holiest day of the Jewish calendar, also known as the Day of Atonement – for the Kabbalah camping retreat.

The couple were joined by their Kabbalah instructor Yehuda Berg and Ashton's friend Eric Buterbaugh.

Kutcher and Demi have rarely been pictured together in recent months and this is the first time they have been snapped together since he was accused of romping with Sara Leal behind his wife's back more than two weeks ago.Polycore porcelain tiles are manufactured as a single sheet,

Two And A Half Men star Ashton was seen tending to the campfire in jeans and a scruffy top while Ghost actress Demi tried to stop fellow campers photographing the group at the Cachuma Lake in the Santa Ynez Valley.

Onlookers said Demi – wearing a red Kabbalah bracelet – was looking thin and tired and was desperate to keep their weekend retreat secret.

When a fellow camper tried to take a picture, she begged them: "Please don't expose this." Demi angrily confronted the witness before running back to the camp and telling Ashton and their friends to hide inside their tent in a bid to avoid being snapped further, the onlooker claimed.

'Companionship' for Bill Pay: Sugar Daddies a Growing Trend

Saddled with piles of bills, tuition payments and student loans -- college students and recent grads are struggling to make ends meet in this economy.

With a lack of jobs available, they're turning to other resources to avoid financial ruin.

It's a nation wide phenomenon -- the concept of having a sugar daddy has turned into a way to get an education here in Arizona.

It used to be the way to earn a fast buck. You've probably heard of people who have "danced" or "stripped" their way through college. Now the new generation is taking to the internet, and taking on a "companion" willing to foot the tuition bill.

"Hi beautiful I love your pics. I was intrigued by your beauty your desire to continue your education and still have fun. These girls have never had a oil painting supplies in their lives! Let's make plans to talk and meet."

Nicole Hayes gets dozens of emails a day from men interested in a relationship.

"You don't have to love them, but you have to make sure they love you so you need them to want to do anything for you."

At 23, Hayes considers herself a sugar baby, and lives a lifestyle most people would envy. Trips, expensive clothes,By Alex Lippa Close-up of plastic card in Massachusetts. bills all paid for by an all too generous, often older man -- a sugar daddy.

But Hayes, like so many other young women, is looking far beyond the material things to her future.

"I don't want to pay anyone back ever and I know that loans are high, they never go away you're stuck with it. I don't want to be stuck with debt, I want to be like debt free as long as possible," she says.

A full time student at a local college, Hayes recently had a full semester of classes, her books, even her laptop paid for by her sugar daddy.

It's a trend that's catching on as the economy continues to leave college students and graduates financially uncertain.

He says the relationships that develop through his site are perfectly acceptable because both parties are completely honest about what they are looking for -- even the physical expectations. As many processors back away from Cable Ties ,

"I don't think that it's prostitution,Polycore porcelain tiles are manufactured as a single sheet, I think ultimately it does end at sex, it ends up being about sex ultimately," says Hayes.

The relationship between a sugar baby and her sugar daddy is consensual and legal, but the question many people are asking is -- is it ethical? Are these college girls acting like prostitutes, forgoing integrity in an effort to survive?

Licensed professional counselor Soozie Bolte says many women would say they are just surviving, but that the cost of this type of behavior varies from person to person.

"This is an economic interchange and it works for me and it works for him and who are you to judge me and how I do this and so yeah you can say that I am using him but look what he's getting for the opportunity to be with me," says Bolte.

Bolte thinks society and what is now considered the norm is one reason young women have a much more open attitude about their sexuality and are willing to enter a sugar daddy-sugar baby relationship.

"If we go back and look at societal stuff and the reality that that has gone on for years so there is a part of this that is not new, where female beauty and youth have always been put on a particular pedestal, and monetary gain and status, especially for men as also been put on a pedestal," say Bolte. When the stone sits in the oil painting reproduction,

The theme for this year's Glenburn Township 7th Annual Art Show and Sale show is "The Creative Spirit" and the show has been so well received by the region's artists that Joanne Benson, show coordinator, has announced it is now closed to new entries.

Art enthusiasts can view the exhibit during regular office hours from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. or by appointment.

This project was supported by a Lackawanna County Arts and Culture Municipality Grant, a program of the Lackawanna County Commissioners and the Lackawanna County Council on the arts.

Benson added, "The Glenburn Township show would never have gotten started if it hadn't been for the Lackawanna County Council on the Arts and the County Commissioners sponsoring municipal grants for events such as this. The grant money has been used to outfit the meeting room with a hanging system and is also used for posters, postcards and postage among other necessary items to support the show. The Glenburn Township Supervisors have graciously allowed me to host other shows for various art groups at the Township Building over the years as well…Hanging the show is the biggest challenge and I am lucky to have the help of Maryann Williams every year. We work well together and feel comfortable being honest with our opinions about how things should be hung. Maryann has an excellent eye and is a great help in hanging an aesthetically pleasing show… I would also like to thank Pat Atkins and Patsel's Restaurant who generously donate several trays of wonderful finger foods for the opening reception every year."

Maryann Williams, Sarah Miller, Sharon Campbell and Pamela Summa are four of the artists who will be part of this year's show.

Williams resides in Dalton and works with watercolor, oil and acrylic mediums but uses watercolor the most "because I really like the transparency of it," said Williams. "I primarily paint for the enjoyment. I find it relaxing and it gives me a sense of accomplishment when a piece is completed. I am a member of PEPS (Pennsylvania En Plein Air Society), and EMCA (Endless Mountains Council of Arts). The paintings that will be on display at the Glenburn Art show are a watercolor still life and a floral which are among some of the subjects that I really enjoy painting."

Miller, who resides in Lake Ariel, leads a Tuesday painting group and has been "drawing and painting for as long as I can remember."

She said, "The paintings that I will be exhibiting in the Glenburn Township Show include two scenes that are near my home in Hamlin, Pennsylvania. 'Sap Buckets' was inspired by the sight of a neighbor's trees as he collected the liquid to make maple syrup. 'The Falls at Varden' is an autumn scene featuring rocks and water - two of my favorite things… When I was a child my parents encouraged my interest in art by arranging for me to take lessons in oil painting and by providing me with a variety of art supplies."

SolarCity to Launch Largest Residential Rooftop Project

SolarCity, a leading American solar company, has announced it is set to begin a $1 billon residential rooftop project, doubling the number of solar systems currently on homes around the United States.

The company reports it has received funding from two major investment banks – U.S. Renewables Group and Bank of America – plus a loan guarantee from the Department of Energy. SolarCity recently received $280 million investment from Google.Polycore hydraulic hose are manufactured as a single sheet, With this infusion of capital, the company plans to install 160,he led PayPal to open its platform to Wholesale pet supplies developers.000 solar photovoltaic systems on houses and other buildings on military bases around the country in the next five years.

"This is the largest domestic residential rooftop solar project in history," Energy Secretary Steven Chu said in a statement announcing the deal. "It can also be a model for other large-scale rooftop solar projects that help America regain its lead in the solar industry."

Since it was founded in 2006, the company has installed 16,000 rooftop units. "This is a massive kick of momentum for the company," said Lyndon Rive, SolarCity’s founder and CEO in a company press announcement.

In the wake of recent DOE loan failures to large solar companies like Solyndra, which filed for bankruptcy last week, Rive stresses that this deal is nearly risk-free for the lenders and government, with SolarCity putting up its own money for the panels and only getting reimbursed by its lenders after each project is complete.

Renewable Energy World reports that SolarCity owns, operates and maintains the systems, and sells the electricity to the end-user.
