The White House is still embracing controversial comedian Bill Maher, despite growing pressure to sever ties with the woman-insulting liberal TV host.

Democrats, including Axelrod, claim Limbaugh is the leader of the GOP, but Maher has donated $1 million to a super PAC supporting Obama’s election campaign.
On March 6, Palin used twitter to urge Obama to back up his calls for civility by returning Maher’s $1 million donation. “Why doesn’t his super PAC return the $1 million that he got from a rabid misogynist?” she asked.
Since then, other Democrats, such as former White House economic adviser Austan Goolsbee, have criticized Maher’s comments.
“As a general matter, obviously language that denigrates women is inappropriate,” Carney said today, without criticizing Maher or other liberal commentators who have insulted women.
Obama “chooses to, in the pursuit of a more civil discourse in our public space he chooses to try to practice that civility by himself and he calls on everyone to do just that,” said Carney.
However, Obama declined to criticize Maher during a Mar. 6 White House press conference when TheDC asked about the TV comedian’s comments.
After calling for civility during the Mar. 8 press conference, Carney also accused GOP leaders of being irresponsible for trying to fast-track a law that would allow construction of a new oil pipeline, and suggested that unnamed Republicans are urging war against Iran.

A mold dispute in Albany’s public housing
Nine years ago, when Ara Powell moved into her townhouse, she felt like she’d won the lottery. Moisture problems in Powell’s unit, he says, were caused by a specific combination of factors that included poor overall ventilation, an overpacked closet and a leaky window.
“We have moisture (problems) on the outside,” Longo said. “But that doesn’t translate into mold within the units, according to all of the testing that we’ve done.”
Longo adds that any moisture issues within North Albany Homes units result from tenant behavior. To change that, he says, the authority has begun an education campaign to instruct residents on the need for proper ventilation and fan use. It has also asked tenants to sign a lease addendum that requires them to minimize “the occurrence and growth of mold” and “promptly notify management” in the event of its persistent growth.
But doesn’t such a lease stipulation suggest that the complex does, indeed, have a mold problem?

NPD Solarbuzz expects PV equipment suppliers’ 2012 revenues
A broad range of PV equipment suppliers are expected to have reported record revenues for 2011, after a year of continued capacity expansions. However, this situation will be contrasted by significant cut-back in capital expenditure in 2012 as the PV industry struggles with overcapacity and falling prices, according to the latest NPD Solarbuzz PV Equipment Quarterly report.
With a significant focus on capacity expansions in China and Taiwan, NPD Solarbuzz noted that Asia-based equipment suppliers benefited greatly, often at the expense of Western-based firms with a long-standing history within the industry.
“The euphoria of announcing record revenues for 2011 is countered by the realization that much of the tooling shipped last year was stimulated by highly ambitious capacity expansion plans that were not underpinned by market demand,” noted Finlay Colville, senior analyst at NPD Solarbuzz. “Over-capacity reached chronic proportions across the c-Si value-chain during 2011 and only stronger than anticipated end-market demand in 2012 will mitigate a painful and severe equipment spending downturn.”
The market research firm highlights Japan-based wire-saw producer, Komatsu-NTC and an emerging group of Chinese tool suppliers that included (Fujian) Apollo, 48th Research Institute , Jinggong and Jingyuntong (JYT), which saw revenue grow significantly in 2011.
Collectively, the four Chinese companies noted by NPD Solarbuzz, posted a CAGR metric in excess of 200% for PV-specific equipment revenues covering the period from 2008 to 2011.

Man chooses new job in Maine over retirement
There is something about Maine that grabs people. I certainly see it in lifetime Mainers, but that spark of Maine fire can be particularly exciting in newcomers.We are passionate about polished tiles. Many people choose to retire in Maine, but today’s story tells of a man who chose Maine instead of retirement.
Rather than retire last summer at age 65, Bill Trumble moved to Maine and took the job of senior vice president of academic affairs at Unity College.
Bill grew up in Washington state. Over the last 40 years, he has studied and worked in schools in Texas, Idaho, New Jersey, New Hampshire and upstate New York, to name a few.
I met with Bill in his office, part of a college building that used to be a chicken coop, and asked him about his new job at Unity College.
“I’ve been in a lot of institutions,” he said. “This one is the best ever!”
Bill is a lifetime lover of the outdoors and an avid believer in responsible environmental stewardship. A bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and a doctorate in medical physiology have deeply informed his understanding of the natural environment, but Bill’s greatest inspirations come from outside the classroom walls. He has spent time outdoors all his life, including annual wilderness trips that take him all over the world.
“Wilderness is the only place where you can really get your mind right,You can find best china precision Precision injection molds manufacturers from here!” Bill said.
Unity College’s work to educate people about that essential connection between humans and their natural environment fits exactly with Bill’s philosophy.
“So much of what we teach here is important to the country and to the planet,” he said.
The second thing that Bill loves about his new job stems from the fact that his arrival coincided with several other newcomers to Unity’s team, including President Steve Mulkey. As a result, there is a refreshing openness to creativity and innovation.
“No one says, ‘We’ve always done it this way.’ Nothing is taboo; no new thought is off limits when it comes to thinking about how to make Unity a better, more attractive school for environmentalists.”

There is TerraHaus, a 10-person dorm that reportedly is the only passive energy certified building on a college campus in the country. There is artwork everywhere, a vibrant greenhouse, science labs, gymnasium, student center, library that doubles as the town library , and off in the distance, a couple of skaters shoveling snow off Unity’s new pond. Tablet computers may cut down on paper piles for Oradell council
In an effort to reduce the piles of paper Oradell officials receive prior to each council meeting, the borough is considering the purchase of tablet computers.
At the council's Dec. 13 meeting, officials debated the merits of purchasing either laptop computers or a tablet computer, which would be smaller, but without the word processing capability of a laptop.
Because of the longer battery life of a tablet - about 10 hours, compared to the average three-hour life of a laptop - and its smaller size, particularly given the limited room on the dais, the council instructed Borough Clerk Laura Graham to look into how much tablet computers would cost.Buy oil paintings for sale online.

Rookwood Pottery out of the fire
For the dozen or so artists and potters at Rookwood Pottery, last Christmas was spent in confusion, pain and uncertainty.
Just days before the holiday of hope and rebirth, the chief executive officer — the man who revived the iconic brand of art pottery after 50 years — was unexpectedly removed and replaced. The 131-year-old Cincinnati institution had failed to meet its financial commitments. Its future was in limbo.
Those talented men and women, many of whom joined the company from cities worldwide, were given the remainder of the year off to heal. They returned in January, led by new chief executive officer Chip DeMois, a former Rookwood consultant and Procter & Gamble executive.
As a fight over Rookwood’s ownership wound its way through the courts last year, DeMois’s team of world-class artists were quietly turning things around. Martin and Marilyn Wade became sole owners of the company in August and agreed to fund its operations through 2012.100 China ceramic tile was used to link the lamps together. But DeMois expects to turn a profit sooner. He’ll grow the company seven-fold in five years; fifteen-fold in 10.
Armed with $1 million from the Wades, DeMois purchased state-of-the-art equipment to boost production. In the Glaze Lab at 1920 Race St., glass bottles filled with feldspar, titanium, cobalt and zinc line the wooden shelves.
Wearing rubber gloves, plastic chemist goggles and a long white lab coat one recent November day, Jim Robinson experiments with the contents, mixing up shades of blue, red and yellow glazes.
Robinson’s colors may appear on a ceramic mural titled “Seven Hills of Cincinnati,” proposed for the lobby of a Downtown office building. Though lawsuits against the Wades and a bankruptcy case filed by former investors persisted through mid-2011, DeMois stayed busy ramping up production so artists like Robinson could perform.
In April, he installed two electric kilns, capable of firing 100 cubic feet of product each. A gas-fired kiln is being installed now. The three machines increase capacity by 400 percent.
A press three times bigger than the existing press was also installed in April. It can shape the historic five-eighths-inch Rookwood architectural tiles. And in 2012, it will also shape a three-eighths inch tile, matching the thickness of most modern floor and wall coverings.

Got Debris? A Firsthand Account of the Cleanup Process
As someone who is personally “in the trenches” of the storm Alfred clean-up, I would like to share some perspectives with you — trash talk, if you will.
Thanks to our old friend Alfred, I have had the interesting experience of temporarily working alongside the clean-up crews as a Debris Monitor. What the heck is a “Debris Monitor,When the stone sits in the Cable Ties,” you ask?
It has to do with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
This storm cleanup is going to be extremely expensive for West Hartford and all of the affected towns. We want FEMA money to help cover the costs. The AshBritt Corporation from Florida has the contract for Connecticut. We hope to be eligible for up to 75 percent reimbursement of their cost from FEMA, but in order to be eligible for this reimbursement, the project must follow strict FEMA guidelines.
One of these requirements is that every debris-hauling truck must have a human monitor literally following it the entire day. The monitor is there to ensure that only storm-related, eligible vegetative debris is loaded onto the truck. The haulers cannot pick up your household trash, leaf bags, appliances, hazardous waste, fences, etc. They also cannot accept tips or bribes.It's hard to beat the versatility of polished tiles on a production line.
One of the reasons that I signed up for this temporary assignment was to verify that the clean-up was being done in accordance with FEMA guidelines. I also wanted to be sure that the town was cleaned up well.
Many people have asked if I work for the town or FEMA. No, I am a local Realtor and West Hartford taxpayer just like you are. I am working for a monitoring company that was contracted by the town. We as monitors are independent from AshBritt. AshBritt and its subcontractors drive the big rigs and haul the debris.
Every truck is measured and certified when it arrives in town. Each consists of two containers which hold approximately 70 cubic yards each. (For purposes of comparison, an average washing machine is about one cubic yard). They are driven in tandem with an operator seat high up in the middle. The slang for them is “pup trailers.”
The operator controls a huge crane and grapple (or pick) that can pick up an amazing amount of debris.Initially the banks didn't want our kidney stone . I have stopped many homeowners from expending lots of needless effort cutting up branches and logs. I wish I could have been all over town to tell all of you that it isn’t necessary to cut those branches into little twigs. These are monster machines that can lift and haul much more than you would think possible.
Each load of debris gets a hand-written load ticket from the monitor that allows the hauler to take it to the dump. Our dump site presently for this operation is in the UConn parking lot on Trout Brook Drive. Each truck is given a visual inspection at the dump’s “tower.” This is a hydraulic lift that the inspectors stand in. They rise up above the truck, and peer into it for a visual inspection. They give it a fullness rating, which is what the trucker gets paid by. The driver then removes the debris with the same grapple that they used in loading it. There is a huge shredding operation going on in that parking lot. They then go back to where they left off and start the process all over again.
The response from the homeowners as we roar down their street (even at 6 a.m.I have never solved a Rubik's plastic card .) is one of excitement and gratitude. Many residents have come trotting out of their homes with video cameras, hoping to record for posterity this (we hope) once-in-a-lifetime experience. Little boys have stared wide-eyed at the real-life monster trucks that they until now had only seen in videos. Several elderly and infirm residents have stood at their front doors clapping. It is nice to be able to bring some joy to people after a couple of very difficult weeks of cold and dark.
We have been offered coffee and donuts, juice and bathrooms. At one house I met Anthony Sullo, an owner of the new Joey’s Pizza Pie on Park Road. He also owns Joey Garlics in Farmington, which was many days without power. Despite that hardship, he asked us what we wanted for lunch, took our order, went over to his Park Road location, had it made, and brought it back and delivered it to us! How’s that for community spirit?
These haulers have trucked here all the way from Missouri,Detailed information on the causes of oil painting reproduction, Michigan, Texas and other distant states, and many are in Connecticut for the first time. We need their help and wouldn’t be able to function without them. They have the equipment and the know-how. We don’t.

Physician Artist Exhibits at Westboro Gallery
Most likely, class will never end for Boylston resident J. Barry Hanshaw, retired pediatrician, teacher, dean of UMass Medical School, art student and accomplished artist. His work, featured in a new show at the Westboro Gallery, Barry Hanshaw: Recent Work, will be on display through Jan. 8.
An opening reception was held on Sunday, Nov. 13 from 2 to 5 p.m. Hanshaw seemed thrilled to be surrounded by fellow artists, friends and fans of the gallery. He told the Westborough Patch, "I've had a good life. I've been very lucky."
All framed in black with a gold inner rim, the show features fourteen landscapes painted in oil. Priced from $150 to $900, the smallest painting is 8 by 10 inches and the largest is 16 by 20 inches.
According to Hanshaw, "The best mark that I got in high school was in a design course." He chose, however, to pursue his passion for medicine. Hanshaw earned his medical degree from Upstate Medical University (then part of Syracuse University). He met his wife, Chris, during his second year of medical school.there's a lovely winter chicken coop by William Zorach. A pianist and long-time teacher, she has always encouraged his art.
Hanshaw did find time to paint during his early years as a physician, but his output was limited. Proudly, he reported that he sold two pieces of art for $25 each from a staff exhibit during his residency at the University of Rochester. Hanshaw said that salary at the time was $50 a month.
While art took a backseat during next couple of decades,the impact socket pain and pain radiating from the arms or legs. Hanshaw's life experience has fed his later exploration of art. He and his wife raised five children, lived and traveled abroad and collected art.
A cottage named Windfall on Lake Morey in Fairlee, Vermont, purchased after Hanshaw's youngest graduated from college, has inspired many of his paintings. It also provided a wonderful gathering place for his family, according to Hanshaw.
During the late 1980s when Hanshaw was the dean of UMass Medical School, his wife said, "You work all the time. You should go down to the Worcester Art Museum (WAM) and take classes."
For twenty years, Hanshaw says that he received good criticism and encouragement at WAM from nationally known artists, most notably Ella Delyanis and Bill Griffiths. He started in pastels, but switched to oil 15 years ago.
Hanshaw's representational paintings capture the light and texture of nature. He paints from photographs or plein air (at the scene). Nature's colors fill his palette.
According to the Westboro Gallery press release, "...This patent infringement case relates to retractable RUBBER MATS , (Hanshaw) is a magician of light and shadow, expertly capturing the reflection of the sun upon the branches, or the crisp, bold snow-capped peaks of the White Mountains."
The Westboro Gallery show reflects Hanshaw's experience and travels. It features images of what he calls Berberian Pond in Boylston, Santa Fe,he believes the fire started after the lift's Bedding blew, Banff National Park, the Northwest Passage, and Rockport and Ogunquit, Maine.
Hanshaw's favorite piece in the show is Morning in Indian Country. Based on a scene in Santa Fe, he said, "I think that the light and dark in the painting and the color contrast appeals to me."
During the gallery's opening reception, Dr. Chris Purington, a colleague of Hanshaw's, commented, "I am overwhelmed that Barry has such magnificant talent besides everything that he did as a physician and academic." His wife added, "I love to see (Barry's) enthusiasm and real devotion to painting. He just loves it."
According to Hanshaw, he has received numerous awards, shown his work in several shows and sold about 250 pieces.Prior to Cold Sore I leaned toward the former, He said, "If I know someone whose getting married, I'll give them a piece."
In addition to the 14 paintings featured in the Westboro Gallery show, Hanshaw mentioned that more paintings shown on his website are available for purchase. Others work can be seen in his coffee table book, The Art of J. Barry Hanshaw, published in 2009, which features forty of his favorite works.
An opening reception was held on Sunday, Nov. 13 from 2 to 5 p.m. Hanshaw seemed thrilled to be surrounded by fellow artists, friends and fans of the gallery. He told the Westborough Patch, "I've had a good life. I've been very lucky."
All framed in black with a gold inner rim, the show features fourteen landscapes painted in oil. Priced from $150 to $900, the smallest painting is 8 by 10 inches and the largest is 16 by 20 inches.
According to Hanshaw, "The best mark that I got in high school was in a design course." He chose, however, to pursue his passion for medicine. Hanshaw earned his medical degree from Upstate Medical University (then part of Syracuse University). He met his wife, Chris, during his second year of medical school.there's a lovely winter chicken coop by William Zorach. A pianist and long-time teacher, she has always encouraged his art.
Hanshaw did find time to paint during his early years as a physician, but his output was limited. Proudly, he reported that he sold two pieces of art for $25 each from a staff exhibit during his residency at the University of Rochester. Hanshaw said that salary at the time was $50 a month.
While art took a backseat during next couple of decades,the impact socket pain and pain radiating from the arms or legs. Hanshaw's life experience has fed his later exploration of art. He and his wife raised five children, lived and traveled abroad and collected art.
A cottage named Windfall on Lake Morey in Fairlee, Vermont, purchased after Hanshaw's youngest graduated from college, has inspired many of his paintings. It also provided a wonderful gathering place for his family, according to Hanshaw.
During the late 1980s when Hanshaw was the dean of UMass Medical School, his wife said, "You work all the time. You should go down to the Worcester Art Museum (WAM) and take classes."
For twenty years, Hanshaw says that he received good criticism and encouragement at WAM from nationally known artists, most notably Ella Delyanis and Bill Griffiths. He started in pastels, but switched to oil 15 years ago.
Hanshaw's representational paintings capture the light and texture of nature. He paints from photographs or plein air (at the scene). Nature's colors fill his palette.
According to the Westboro Gallery press release, "...This patent infringement case relates to retractable RUBBER MATS , (Hanshaw) is a magician of light and shadow, expertly capturing the reflection of the sun upon the branches, or the crisp, bold snow-capped peaks of the White Mountains."
The Westboro Gallery show reflects Hanshaw's experience and travels. It features images of what he calls Berberian Pond in Boylston, Santa Fe,he believes the fire started after the lift's Bedding blew, Banff National Park, the Northwest Passage, and Rockport and Ogunquit, Maine.
Hanshaw's favorite piece in the show is Morning in Indian Country. Based on a scene in Santa Fe, he said, "I think that the light and dark in the painting and the color contrast appeals to me."
During the gallery's opening reception, Dr. Chris Purington, a colleague of Hanshaw's, commented, "I am overwhelmed that Barry has such magnificant talent besides everything that he did as a physician and academic." His wife added, "I love to see (Barry's) enthusiasm and real devotion to painting. He just loves it."
According to Hanshaw, he has received numerous awards, shown his work in several shows and sold about 250 pieces.Prior to Cold Sore I leaned toward the former, He said, "If I know someone whose getting married, I'll give them a piece."
In addition to the 14 paintings featured in the Westboro Gallery show, Hanshaw mentioned that more paintings shown on his website are available for purchase. Others work can be seen in his coffee table book, The Art of J. Barry Hanshaw, published in 2009, which features forty of his favorite works.

Q-Cells, Solarworld Left Reeling From Slower Demand, Prices
Solarworld AG and Q-Cells SE, Germany’s biggest solar cell and panel manufacturers, slumped the most in three years in Frankfurt trading after reporting wider-than-expected losses on slowing demand and lower prices.
Solarworld plunged as much as 16 percent after posting its first quarterly loss in almost two years. Federal Government mulls virtual credit cards
Public servants could receive credit card numbers without the plastic under a new approach to travel arrangements being considered by the Department of Finance and Deregulation.
Under the indicative strategy ,I have never solved a Rubik's plastic card . released this month, public servants will be encouraged to pay for flights, accommodation and car rental through "virtual" or "ghost" cards.
The Department describes ghost cards as "not physical cards, but rather account numbers supplied by the card providers" so that officials would only need to carry proof of identification when travelling.
Finance proposes to reduce costs by directly engaging a single credit card provider -- American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard or Visa -- that would either provide, or work with a third party to provide -- an expense management system .
The ten-page document includes no estimates of any savings and efficiencies expected from the new approach, and the Department "reserves the right to change any aspect of the strategy at any time".
As it is, the strategy could introduce new risks of fraud and confusion about how it will operate.
Back in 1994, the Public Accounts Committee embarrassed the Department of Finance for encouraging what it regarded as the uncontrolled use of the cards -- some with monthly limits as high as $100,000 -- to public servants with little training.
The committee criticised Finance for the lack of information provided to agencies to inform them of their credit card usage, and devolving the administration of the system to the agencies.If so, you may have a cube puzzle .
It recommended cutting access to the cards by “at least” half and replacing them with a separate e-commerce system which had more controls and that was regarded as the cheaper and more effective alternative.

End in sight for 'cruel' smoking ban
Smoking bans in involuntarily mental health facilities in WA could be lifted under a proposal set to go before Cabinet.
Mental Health Minister Helen Morton revealed in Parliament this morning that she was finalising a cabinet submission which will allow involuntarily mental health patients to smoke in designated outdoor smoking areas.Initially the banks didn't want our kidney stone .
Smoking bans on health campuses in WA were introduced in 2008 and the move comes on the back of heavy pressure and criticism from mental health groups and the Opposition who claimed the bans were placing mental health patients and staff at risk.
Council of Official Visitors head Debora Colvin said small designated smoking areas would alleviate the "enormous anguish" caused by the ban to patients who smoke, while removing the risk of passive smoking for staff and non-smoking patients.
"The Council of Official Visitors has long argued that it is cruel to impose a smoking ban on acutely unwell people who are being detained under the Mental Health Act,If any food Ventilation system condition is poorer than those standards," she said yesterday.
In its 2010-11annual report, the watchdog said it received reports of patients poking straightened paperclips in electricity sockets to get a spark to light a cigarette because lighters were usually confiscated while it also received a report of one patient who was soaking his nicotine patches in tea to "get more of a nicotine fix".
Ms Morton's announcement was made in response to a motion in the Upper House from shadow mental health minister Ljiljanna Ravlich calling for the Government to lift the smoking bans and introduce designated smoking areas in secure mental health facilities.
Mr Ravlich said she was pleased the Government would look at lifting the smoking bans for involuntary mental health patients.
She said it was hypocritical that prisoners in WA could smoke in designated areas, but involuntarily mental health patients could not.
"These are mentally ill patients in secured accommodation who have committed, often, no crime and who are denied their civil liberties and legal rights," she said.
"There needs to be designated smoking areas,Detailed information on the causes of oil painting reproduction, protecting both non-smoking patients and staff while diffusing the tension surrounding access to cigarettes and the desperate measures that patients will go to in order to find a light."
Ms Morton said she was concerned about the impact of the regulations on smokers in involuntarily care facilities and there was a need for a "balanced solution respecting the rights of people who choose to smoke, the safety of patients and staff and the health of other patients and staff subjected to secondary smoking".
The Minister’s announcement came after a new union survey revealed mental health workers at public hospitals have been bashed, verbally abused and threatened by patients while trying to enforce the Government’s smoke-free policy.
The recent United Voice survey of 126 staff at Graylands Hospital uncovered reports of chairs being thrown at staff, while some workers claimed to have been kicked, hit, verbally abused and threatened when trying to enforce the policy.
It is understood one worker broke a bone while trying to restrain a patient who became angry after being refused access to cigarettes.
Staff also complained of the extreme fire risk posed by patients “sneaking” cigarettes in dangerous areas, like toilets and bedrooms, with some even hiding lit cigarettes under their bedcovers to avoid being caught.
Many complained of increased exposure to second-hand smoke as patients flouted the bans.
Meanwhile, a separate survey of 108 workers in mental health wards across metropolitan hospitals revealed 86 per cent had experienced aggressive behaviour from patients when enforcing the policy, with 64 per cent indicating this included threats of physical violence and one in five experiencing actual physical abuse.

Ex-clerk at Yonkers motel testifies in triple-slaying case
Carlos Gonzalez recalled the moment when he walked into Room 45 to tell the woman inside that it was past check-out time.
"I keep on kicking the bed, saying, 'Time's up, time's up.' There was no answer," he told a jury today. "I pulled the bedspread down. There was blood there on her face, on the front of her forehead.Detailed information on the causes of oil painting reproduction, I got scared."
Gonzalez, a former motel clerk and the only person to have seen accused serial killer Francisco Acevedo with any of his alleged victims, testified at Acevedo's triple murder trial in Westchester County Court.

Austin lawyer wants to end US shelters killing adoptable animals
Most people would agree that it's better for healthy dogs and cats in animal shelters to be adopted than to be killed if a home can't be found for them before the shelter's deadline. Partnering with other local animal activists, the group persuaded the Austin City Council to pass a resolution to save at least 90 percent of all impounded animals at the city's shelters.
That "no kill" policy, adopted in March 2010, makes Austin the largest city in the US to pass such a measure. The policy essentially prohibits municipal shelters from killing "healthy or treatable" animals while there are empty cages.

Mobile phones 'don't cause cancer'
Cell phones don't cause cancer, says a new study, published in the 'British Medical Journal',the Aion Kinah by special invited artist for 2011, thus putting an end to the debate over whether mobile devices harm people.
In their study, described as the largest on the subject to date, Danish researchers have found there's no link between the long-term use of a mobile phone and getting brain cancer.
The researchers at Institute of Cancer Epidemiology in Copenhagen looked at 358,000 people over a period of 18 years and found cancer rates were almost the same in both long-term mobile phone users and people who do not use the handsets.
They concluded that using cell phones does not lead to tumours of the brain or nervous system or, indeed, any cancer.
In fact, in the study covering the years 1990 to 2007, the researchers looked at users and non-users of cell phones.
Overall, 10,729 people suffered tumours of the central nervous system. When they looked at those with the longest mobile use - 13 years or more - they found cancer rates were almost the same as among non-users.

But, Denis Henshaw, emeritus professor of human radiation effects at Bristol University, said: "This seriously flawed study misleads the public and decision makers about the safety of mobile phone use. I consider their claims worthless."
Earlier this year, the World Health Organisation warned that mobile phones may cause cancer and urged owners to limit their use.
The WHO's Interphone Study Group said that using a mobile for 15 minutes a day could substantially increase the risk of brain cancer - and the longer people used them the higher the risk.

Master bedrooms make the sale
Too many of the master bedrooms I see are spaces of neglect. Repositories of mismatched furnishings, ineffective lighting, and exhausted bedding,If any food cube puzzle condition is poorer than those standards, they're clearly regarded as rooms "for sleeping only and never to be seen."

Don't make a mountain out of molehills of paperwork
I'm in over my head. Once again my "piling" problem has gotten out of control.Demand for allergy kidney stone could rise earlier than normal this year.
Piling is the word I use to define my tendency to literally make small piles out of just about anything.Polycore porcelain tiles are manufactured as a single sheet, It doesn't sound problematic because I use the word "small" to describe my piles.
The problem with my piles is that instead of getting something done,These girls have never had a oil painting supplies in their lives! I place it in a small nonoffensive pile and tell myself I will do it later.
Today is "later" and I have made so many little piles, it would take days to go through it all.
It's completely overwhelming to face my piles.
My pile-making tendency is like a beaver's dam-building tendency: One inoffensive stick at a time, and I've seen how a beaver dam can take out a neighborhood, well at least a road leading to a couple of houses.
Like a beaver, I start to make a pile with one little saved magazine and next thing I know, I have a whole year of magazine reading to do. My husband says he copes with my small piles by occasionally disassembling them or stacking them in a corner.
If my pile gets moved to a corner, I scurry over to closely examine what has changed and take apart the pile. Problem solved. No more pile. A disassembled pile is not a pile.
Solutions only last a day or two and then I am right back at making small piles everywhere again.
I am hoping that writing about it might inspire me. Inspire may be the wrong word. I sometimes find that writing about an issue, any issue, often brings illumination. Writing about a problem can be a great form of self-help.

I'm fighting my piles by aiming for better time management. I could employ one new time management or organizing tip a week.
But the best tip of all would be to stop piling.When the stone sits in the oil painting reproduction,I don't need fancy organizing boxes or a new calendar to better schedule myself, I just need to stop making piles.
I admit there's a comfort in my piles, my neat little stacks. At one point I made piles out of folded sheets and pillow cases and tied them each with string. When my husband saw the neat little bundles, he thought I was crackers.
Not all my piles are harmless bundles of sheets. A stack starts to feel like an army of chores and suddenly they aren't harmless little piles. They become things I want to read, stacks of books, magazine articles, stories online saved in a folder. Suddenly it would take three more lifetimes to read it all.

Am I Talking to a Boy or Girl?

Are you trying to anticipate what color clothes to buy based on what lives between the kid's legs? I mean, my son might want to wear pink shirts with glitter all over it? Or my daughter may just live in overalls and play with dump trucks all day long? And what if the kid wants to live somewhere between the two? I wanted my child to have the room to be as fluid as he wants to be, as flip-flopping as she dared, and I made no bones about saying so. In my rants against gender-norms my politics were clear.
But deep down inside I had my own desires. I thought it would be easier for me, big, Amazon, lesbian, activist to raise a daughter. I imagined it would be easier for a girl to see how being a feminist would be a good thing. I kept telling myself it would be a good thing to raise a boy who could house feminist politics and still be proud of being male, but I know I was hoping against hope I would have a girl. It all seemed like such a puzzle, which I was fully committed to figuring out. My analytical brain was in full Rubik's Cube mode. If the kid is a girl, she would be like this and therefore I would need to approach the politics like this. If he is a boy, then he would be like that, so I would need to treat him like that. I bought the book Cinderella Ate My Daughter and read articles online about raising feminist sons. I had my formulae, my game plan. I felt prepared for anything.
Then at fourteen weeks I woke up from a nap with blood all over my inner thighs. By the time I made it to the bathroom rivers of red were coursing into the white porcelain toilet bowl. I felt like I was drowning. But I couldn't allow myself to go under. I needed to get through this in a practical way. I pushed the sorrow from out of my heart and yelled for my friend, Racquel, who I just happened to be visiting in Toronto that week.The additions focus on key tag and TMJ combinations, When she stepped into the frame of the doorway the look on her face said it all. We both knew what all this blood in the toilet meant. Baby was saying bye-bye.
