Santorum wins Louisiana, trails badly in delegates

With all Louisiana precincts reporting, Santorum captured 49 percent of the vote to 27 percent for Romney. Newt Gingrich, was far back at 16 percent, followed by Ron Paul with 6 percent.

Although the victory gives Santorum bragging rights and 10 more delegates, it does not change the overall dynamics of the race. The former Pennsylvania senator still dramatically lags behind Romney, a former Massachusetts governor, in the battle for delegates to the party’s August nominating convention in Tampa, Florida.

The Saturday vote in Louisiana gave Romney five delegates and five will be designated as uncommitted.

With the state-by-state primary and caucus contests more than half complete, Santorum has won just 27 percent of the delegates. Romney has been accumulating delegates at a 54-percent clip. Most of the remaining states award delegates proportionally based on primary results, making it even more difficult for Santorum to close the gap.

The odds would seem to rule out nomination of Santorum. But as he savored his victory in Louisiana, the ultraconservative vowed to remain in the battle. Santorum was campaigning in Wisconsin, which holds its primary on April 3.

“Even though a lot of folks are saying this race is over, the people in Louisiana said,All RUBBER MATS is comprised of all types of mats, ‘No, it’s not. This page contains information about molds,’ They still want to see someone who they can trust, someone who’s not running an Etch a Sketch campaign, but one who has their principals written on their heart,What is a real time Location system ? not on an erasable tablet,” Santorum said Sunday on CBS television’s “Face the Nation.” “And I think that’s what helped us deliver the win in Louisiana, and I think we’re going to do very well up here in Wisconsin, too.”

Santorum was referring to a comment last week by a top Romney campaign adviser implying that once nominated “everything changes” for Romney “like an Etch a Sketch,” referring to a mechanical drawing toy that just needs shaking for the image to vanish. The comment implied that Romney would be able to move his positions more to the center of the political specturm in the general election campaign.

The remark fueled long-standing criticism that Romney, who has held more moderate views in the past on sensitive issues such as abortion and gay rights, molds his principles to fit political goals and lacks conservative convictions.

But the Republican establishment is increasingly coalescing around Romney’s candidacy out of concern that an extended nomination fight could hurt the party’s chances against President Barack Obama. The Democratic incumbent faces no serious primary challenge and his re-election campaign already is well under way.

An influential Republican senator said on Sunday that the nominating race was all but finished.

“I think the primary is over. Romney will be the nominee,” South Carolina’s Lindsey Graham told CNN. “The fat lady hasn’t sung yet. But she’s warming up.”

Romney has churned through the nomination contest with a huge financial and organizational advantage, further dimming the likelihood that Santorum will pull off the nearly impossible task. His campaign staff rubbed that in after Santorum’s Saturday victory.

“Rick Santorum is like a football team celebrating a field goal (a 3-point score) when they are losing by seven touchdowns (42 points) with less than a minute left in the game,” said Romney spokesman Ryan Williams, who was at Santorum’s sparsely attended victory party in Green Bay, Wisconsin. That state holds its primary on April 3.

Romney remains far ahead with 568 delegates to Santorum’s 273,InLocality specializes in indoor Tracking Technologies. according to an Associated Press tally. Newt Gingrich follows with 135 and Ron Paul has 50.

Romney is just short of half the 1,144 delegates it will take to clinch the nomination ahead of the convention this summer in Tampa, Florida, while Santorum is shy of accumulating a quarter of the needed delegates. His organizational disadvantage will show again in the District of Columbia primary, also on April 3, where Santorum failed to get on the ballot.Distributes and manufactures RUBBER SHEET,

Turkey Point plant employees were safe despite ventilation system being disabled

Despite a disabled ventilation system in an emergency operations building at Florida Power & Light's Turkey Point nuclear plant, employees would have been safe if an emergency had occurred.

That was one of the main points FPL's management stressed to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission today during a two-hour meeting over apparent violations at the plant. An Air purifier is a device which removes contaminants from the air. Turkey Point, which has two reactors,Our guides provide customers with information about porcelain tiles vs. is about 25 miles south of Miami near Homestead.

Mike Kiley, site vice president at Turkey Point, told NRC officials that he takes full responsibility for any confusion that may have occurred because of the way the issue was communicated to the NRC.

The problems centered on a ventilation system damper that employees reported was open when it should have been closed. However, tests confirmed it was closed, keeping outside air from entering.  Just Choose PTMS plastic injection mould Is Your Best Choice!

If a radiological emergency had occurred with the damper open, the radiation that employees would have been exposed to would have been 17 percent below the NRC's allowable levels, Kiley said. Our guides provide customers with information about porcelain tiles vs.

Larry Nicholson, FPL's director of nuclear licensing, said although the ventilation system was not functioning as designed, it would have protected the employees' safety.

The NRC scheduled the meeting at its Region II headquarters in Atlanta following its finding that in 2010 and 2011 workers twice disabled portions of the plant's technical support center ventilation system. The building is where employees would have gone to direct operations in case of an emergency.

The failure to properly maintain the system has been preliminarily determined by the NRC to be of low to moderate safety significance.

FPL also failed to notify regulators about the ventilation system issues, the NRC said. The system was not functional from Dec. 4, 2010 to July 13, 2011 and from Oct. 10 to Oct. 28, 2011, the NRC said in its report.

The NRC said it expects to issue a finding by late May. If the violation is upheld, FPL could be fined.

Don Mothena, FPLs director of nuclear emergency planning, said the plant has instituted new procedures to catch the damper problems if they should occur again.

FPL spokesman Michael Waldron said, "The analysis we presented to the NRC today shows that this issue never presented a risk to the health and safety of our workers or the public,Sharps include syringe needle, and, there is no doubt that the ventilation system is fully operational currently.

"To be clear, the issues being discussed concern the ventilation system for an onsite facility, not the health or safety of the public.Specializes in rapid Injection mold and molding of parts for prototypes and production."

The Aromatic Plug-In Air Fresheners

An air freshener is a product designed to mask or remove unpleasant room ordors. These products typically deliver fragrance and other odor counteractants into the air.

Fragrance compounds have been used since antiquity to freshen air and mask odors, For example, the ancient Egyptians were known to use musks and other natural materials to scent their tombs. Over the last 2,000 years a variety of compounds, including numerous spices and floral extracts, have been used for their ability to impart a pleasant aroma. However, it was not until 1948 that the first modern air freshener was introduced. This product, using technology developed by the military to dispense insecticides, was a pressurized spray containing about 1% perfume, 24% alcohol or other solvents, and 75% chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) propellant. This was able to deliver a fine mist of fragrance that remained suspended in the air for a long period of time.

Today as the popularity of these scented air fresheners are on the rise, allergists are hearing more complaints about reactions to these toxic scented products.

Dr. Stanley Fineman is the president of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACCAI). ” I’ve seen patients who say, ‘I go into somebody’s house who has one of these air fresheners and I just can’t stay there. I have increasing nasal symptoms, sneezing and coughing.’ There is no allergy skin test for air fresheners, but people can definitely have a physiologic response to it.”

“About 20 percent of the population and 34 percent of people with asthma report health problems from air fresheners. We know air freshener fragrance can trigger allergy symptoms, aggravate existing allergies and worsen asthma.”

Volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) commonly found in air fresheners include: formaldehyde, petroleum distillates, limonene,Handmade oil paintings for sale at museum quality, esters and alcohols. Fineman says a study of plug-in deodorizers found more than 20 different VOC’s with more than one third of those classified as toxic or hazardous.

Fineman says consumers should be particularly concerned if someone in the household has respiratory issues. He says studies show that even VOC exposure levels below currently accepted standards increase risks in asthma children.

High concentrations of VOC’s can trigger eye and respiratory tract irritation, headaches, dizziness, and even memory impairment.

Despite all this, the home fragrance industry is expected to see continued growth, reaching $8.3 billion in global sales by 2015, so, why the fondness for air fresheners?

The new trend is manufacturers are marketing products to be aromatherapy which implies health and mood boosting benefits although there are no scientific studies to support these claims.

Dr. Stanley Fineman wasn’t the first to warn us about these dangerous chemicals in air fresheners. A study in 2010 led by the University of Washington discovered that 2 commonly used scented products (like laundry detergent and air fresheners) emit and average of 17 chemicals each. Of the 133 different chemicals detected nearly a quarter are classified as toxic or hazardous under at least one federal law.

Only one emitted compound was listed on a product label, and only two were publicly disclosed anywhere. Even so-called “Green” products were not “safe.”

Gretchen Schaefer, vice president of communications for the Consumer Specialty Products Association, an industry group, said that VOCs aren’t necessarily harmful.

“Anything that emits a scent — flowers or the scent of pine if you walk through a forest or your Christmas tree– is emitting a VOC,” she said.

In the United States, air fresheners are subject to the Toxic Substance Control Act and the Federal Hazardous Substances Act, which requires that manufacturers inform consumers of risks and ingredients that could contribute to that risk. But some expects say the requirements aren’t stringent enough.

“The Federal hazardous Substance Act requires that the manufacturer put the proper–use information on the label,”Schaefer said.”These products are safe if you use them according to the label instructions.”

If you are still adamant about purchasing plug -in air fresheners use caution. Read the labels to ensure the product does not contain harmful chemicals. Ventilate the room as much as possible.Husky Injection Mold Systems designs and manufactures a broad range of Be extra sensitive to the amount of air fresheners you are using around small children.

The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) suggests that you first try to reduce bad home odors by attacking the source, rather than masking the problem. Identify and remove bad odors. Keep windows open as much as possible. The magic cube is an ultra-portable, If troubling odors persist,The EZ Breathe home Ventilation system is maintenance free,Spro Tech has been a plastic module & Mold Maker, invest in an air purifier with activated carbon filtration.

Air fresheners need not be synthetic to produce an appealing and pleasant scent. Try adding orange, lemon or lavender essential oils to cotton balls and place throughout the house. You can also simmer spices like cinnamon and cloves in a small saucepan on the stove. These tips will leave your home smelling fresh and give you peace of mind that no harmful pollutants are being ingested.

Welspun Group plans to be among top three producers of solar power

In sun-drenched India, the fledgling solar energy market is poised for a vertical take-off aided by falling solar panel prices, mirroring the now famous Indian telecom revolution, a senior Welspun Group official said in an interview.

The Welspun Group is lining up ambitious plans to be among the top three producers of solar power in the country in the next two-three years by producing at least 500 MW of solar power by 2014.Husky Injection Mold Systems designs and manufactures a broad range of

"Earlier, villages did not have landline connectivity but mobile telephony fixed that problem," Vineet Mittal, managing director of Welspun Energy, draws up the telecom analogy. "Similarly,Johnson Tiles UK offer the largest range of porcelain tiles online, we don't have grid connectivity in different parts of the country,Spro Tech has been a plastic module & Mold Maker, but solar-based power and distribution systems can be an effective solution," Mittal said.

"Solar will become a game-changer," Mittal declared. What Welspun and other players in the renewable energy space are betting on is that coal-based power tariffs are bound to increase while solar-based power tariffs will keep declining. Industry observers think the inflection point could be when cost of solar-based power becomes equal or close enough to that of coal-based power.

Already the price per unit has come down from 18 to 8.50 and it will fall further as technology improves, solar energy evangelists like Mittal believe.

"We expect this to happen by 2015," predicts Welspun's Mittal. "As the solar tariff approaches grid parity, the sector will start growing exponentially."

Welspun has already commissioned a 30-MW solar energy project and is working on various projects totaling another 80 MW which are in various stages of completion.Overview description of rapid Tooling processes. The BK Goenka-led group is also bidding for solar power projects outside India, especially some Asian countries.

Sensing solar energy's potential, several other enterprises and private equity investors that include conglomerates such as Mahindra & Mahindra and investment banker Vallabh Bhansali are also making forays into the sunrise sector. Tata Power recently bought out its partner BP's stake in a local venture.

Rapid growth through aggressive investments in similar maverick diversifications is the signature style of Goenka, whose group currently gets most of its revenue by manufacturing and exporting steel pipes for oil & gas and water; terry towels and bathrobes.

For the 15,000-crore group, foray into renewable power is fairly new but is reminiscent of Welspun's beginnings in the 1980s when founder Goenka rode the textile boom in the shadow of industry giants such as Reliance Industries and Bombay Dyeing and then took advantage of favourable policy regime.

On the policy front, wheels have turned as signaled by India's National Solar Mission that has set a target of producing 20,000 MW of solar power by 2022. Similarly, price of equipment used in solar is also coming down, pushing down production costs,The EZ Breathe home Ventilation system is maintenance free, and thus giving the sunrise industry another tailwind.

With rock bottom call tariffs and wide reach, India has shown the road to the world for complete communication connectivity in the telecom space and can now do the same in solar energy space, added Mittal whose firm along with others are lobbying with the Planning Commission and other central government authorities to create a policy environment that can help repeat the telecom magic in solar energy space.

Update on energy initiatives

On Feb. 9, 2009, the Board of Selectmen voted to establish the Energy Initiatives Advisory Committee (EIAC). The committee consists of five members, each appointed by our board. Qualifications for membership include expertise or interest in energy systems, alternative energy technologies, “green building” design and construction, heating, ventilation and cooling equipment and technologies, energy conservation programs and equipment, and experience in energy or energy-related programs or grants.Daneplast Limited UK are plastic injection mould & toolmaking specialists.

The purpose of the committee is to advise the Board of Selectmen, other town boards and committees, Town Administrator Fred Turkington and Public Buildings Director John Moynihan on all issues related to energy conservation, both from a cost savings and “reducing our carbon footprint” perspective.

Since inception, the EIAC has proven to be a hardworking group of professionals who have looked for opportunities and taken advantage of improvements for the town.

For example, the EIAC’s first goal was to have Wayland designated by the Massachusetts Department of Energy and Resources as a “Green Community.” This is a lengthy process involving much paperwork and a number of town bylaw changes.

In 2010, the EIAC received notice our town had been selected as one of only 74 cities and towns throughout the state to be so designated. This has allowed us to receive energy efficiency grant funds.

So far, Wayland has been awarded over $130,000 for initiatives in the schools and municipal buildings. The initial projects to be funded – an upgrade to the lighting at the Middle School and at Loker School – are under way.

As part of the Green Community process, the EIAC spearheaded efforts to pass the “stretch energy code.” This additional section of the building code increases the energy efficiency requirements for all new residential and many new commercial buildings,FIRMAR is a Malaysia Injection Moulding Manufacturer and Plastic Injections Components Manufacturer, as well as for those residential additions and renovations that would normally trigger building code requirements.

Many contractors in town already adhered to the code and recommended our adoption as an important step going forward. The code was approved at last year’s annual Town Meeting. It will help ensure that Wayland stays at the forefront of energy efficiency.

The Building Department staff is working to educate the public on the implications, requirements and benefits of the stretch code.

Next, the EIAC completed an energy use baseline, which outlines plans to achieve a 20 percent energy reduction in town buildings within five years. If the plan is successful, it would reduce the town’s energy costs by up to $300,The magic cube is an ultra-portable,000.

In another project, Wayland has secured an agreement with NStar to replace its inefficient streetlights with more efficient light bulbs, saving the town an estimated $39,000 per year. More than 100 of the estimated 700 lights requiring upgrades have been replaced to date.

In 2011, the EIAC engaged both NStar and National Grid in talks for Wayland to become the pilot town for a program called “Energy Forward.” This initiative started at MIT where it resulted in significant energy savings. It entails our town and the utilities working collaboratively to fund high quality energy audits to identify building infrastructure projects throughout town and school buildings, and to utilize utility funds as seed money for initial projects. The town would then reinvest energy savings in the capital improvement plan to fully realize the anticipated savings.A mold or molds is a hollowed-out block that is filled with a liquid like plastic, At the current time, these discussions are ongoing, so stay tuned.

Finally, the EIAC is exploring sites where solar power could be generated. This effort would involve partnering with a private developer to construct one or more facilities to produce energy to be used by the town at a discounted kilowatt rate or be sold back to the electric grid.Get information on Air purifier from the unbiased, The former town landfill and the new High School are among potential sites being evaluated.

Our board is very proud of the progress being made. We heartily support the strides being made and our leadership in Massachusetts. There is no doubt there will be new energy-related articles presented at future town meetings.

Violin trio paints an ethereal landscape

Synergistic synchrony among the violin trio in a concert led by Sangita Kalanidhi T.N.I have just spent two weeks shopping for tile and have discovered China Porcelain tile. Krishnan was a breezy touch of class at The Music Academy on Christmas morning. The concert was of vintage value as the octogenarian vidwan — active in the field for nearly seven decades — chose to play from the choicest list of the best of the stalwarts he has accompanied over the years.

The concert began with Maguva ninnekori, a rarely heard Narayanagowla varnam of Veenai Kuppaiar in Ata tala that was played in two speeds with an excellent understanding between the trio. Though TNK said that the raga has been almost out of vogue, Neyveli Santhanagopalan presented a beautiful sketch of the same just a couple of days ago at the same venue. The straight ga-s and the glides from ga to sa in the opening phrase,Buy oil paintings for sale online. with just the right intonation, were absolutely delightful to hear.

The ever fascinating Evarani in Devamritavarshini that followed was a painting of an ethereal landscape of colour and peace blended in one. The long notes of right measure woven with aesthetics in the nirnayinchira ending of the pallavi filled the auditorium with tones of elevated artistry.

Devadeva, a kriti immortalised by the resounding voice of Semmangudi, was relived by the strings of the TNK trio; a good raga sketch, sublime in nature suited the devotional content of the composition. The neraval and the kalpana swarams in the never boring jatarupa nibhachela phrase were a true tribute by TNK to Semmangudi and exhibited the same verve and the briskness.

The brief polished delineation of Kanada with predictable patterns, and plenty of long stretched phrases, almost touching the northern shores of music, was wholesome and enjoyable. A blissful exposition of Sukhievvaro won a deserved applause.

Though Gananayakam in Rudrapriya was a surprise at this point in the concert, it broke the almost sombre pace and made the audience sit up ready for the RTP in Todi to follow. Todi sailed along the classical contours without frills and fireworks as old schools have done. The tanam that followed was in Todi, Sahana, Kapi and Behag. The pallavi line was in 2-kalai Adi and the absence of sahityam did not give a clue to the placement of syllables, which felt like a miss.

Once again, devoid of any complex arithmetic, the pallavi ended with well-understood exchanges of kalpanaswaras between the three and usual kuraippu (reduction) culminating in a standard korvai. The understanding between the three, the support, respect and warmth by the son-daughter duo to their master-artiste father were observable throughout the concert. This page contains information about molds,An Air purifier is a device which removes contaminants from the air.

The percussive support by Tiruvarur Bhaktavatsalam (mridangam) and Vaikom Gopalakrishnan (ghatam) was mellow and supportive of the trio, if not embellishing. After a well-played taniavartanam,You can find best china Precision injection molds manufacturers from here! a quick array of tail-enders, Eppovaruvaro in memory of Madurai Mani Iyer, and Alasharaparitapam in Suruti and mangalam concluded the concert.

Soon, BlackBerry smartphones may become users' ID

Everyone from Nokia to Android developer Google plans to include near-field communications (NFC) technology in future devices as they seek to replace cash and cards for everything from coffee to concert and transport ticket purchases.

NFC enables data to be exchanged wirelessly over distances of a few centimeters, meaning mobile phones can be used to pay for goods, store electronic tickets, download music and swap photos and business cards.

But implementation of NFC for purchases has been stymied by the competing interests of banks, merchants, device makers and even wireless carriers all eager to get a cut.

"It is a very dynamic ecosystem,Save on kidney stone and fittings, there are a lot of people involved, a lot of things that need to happen before a critical mass can be achieved," RIM's vice president for handheld software products, Andrew Bocking, said in an interview.

In the meantime, RIM will be leveraging its established role as smartphone of choice in offices and government buildings to gain physical access to those properties.Enecsys Limited, supplier of reliable solar RUBBER MATS systems,

Office workers often swipe a plastic card at a reader to gain access to their building or activate the lift. There's a decent chance that card and the associated reader is made by HID Global, a part of Assa Abloy.who was responsible for tracking down Charles China ceramic tile .

RIM and HID Global on Thursday said that they had teamed up to enable users of new versions of RIM's Bold and Curve smartphones to tap them against a reader to gain access to their workplace or other controlled area.

"This is an industry first and quite a milestone for us because it enables the capability of a mobile device to now have an identity stored in it for use in logical and physical access," said HID Global Chief Executive Denis Hebert.

While HID is testing its product for smartphones on other operating systems,Our oil painting reproduction was down for about an hour and a half, Hebert said RIM was an ideal partner.

"RIM has a tremendous presence in the enterprise space. That is an attractive target for them, but also for us because many of them are users of our cards today, the Bedding by special invited artist for 2011," he said.

Hebert said the cooperation could make use of RIM's enterprise servers -- which allow employees to receive corporate email and other data while away from their desks -- to quickly add, alter or remove access for an individual or group of workers.

RIM's Bocking said visitors to the Museum of London can already use NFC-enabled phones to get additional information by tapping at tags near specific exhibits.

HID's Hebert said the company completed a trial at Arizona State University which proved popular with students who otherwise use a card to buy cafeteria food or get into their dormitory.

"Many of the students said 'hey look I'll often leave my key in my room, leave my card in my dorm, but I never, ever leave my phone. I've always got my phone,'" he said.

Google is including the ability to make mobile payments in its Android operating system, the world's most popular smartphone software, while Nokia has said all of its phones will be NFC-enabled by the end of 2011.

Hebert said NFC operates on a similar frequency to HID's contactless smart cards, meaning the company did not have to change its existing systems to migrate them onto smartphones carrying the chip.
