As the cube turns

For those who grew up in the 1980s,This is interesting cube puzzle and logical game. well before the proliferation of electronic innovations such as smartphones and handheld game systems, there was another game that easily fit into your hand. But for this game, which was really more of a puzzle, the degree of fun interacting with it varied. You can find best china precision Precision injection molds manufacturers from here!

I remember it well ... the Rubik’s Cube, my arch-nemesis. Many hours of my life were invested trying to solve the puzzle . The object is to have all colors be solid on each side of the cube. That sounds simple enough, right?

Yeah, once upon a time, I thought so too. For some people, solving the cube became an obsession. For me, it became a source of frustration. Many times, I imagined of throwing the colorful puzzle into traffic, hoping it would be smashed to smithereens. But I never did that. Nor did I ever solve it. I managed to get several sides into solid colors, with four being my high. The EZ Breathe home Ventilation system is maintenance free, But I never conquered the hard plastic beast. It is my one regret in life.

So imagine my dismay when I recently learned there is a competition devoted to the solving of the Rubik’s Cube. And it’s a contest built entirely on speed.

Speedcubing centers on solving the cube as quickly as possible, with international competitions held to determine the fastest of the fast. If you think fast means solving a cube within a few hours, like I would, you’d be extremely wrong.Omega Plastics are leading plastic injection moulding and injection mould tooling specialists. The current world record for the 3x3x3 cube is 5.66 seconds. Let that sink in for a moment. In less time than it would take you to read this paragraph, a 16-year-old in Australia just solved the puzzle.Smooth-On is your source for Mold Making and casting materials including silicone rubber and urethane rubber,

I viewed video excerpts of these speed demons solving this seemingly complex invention with a mix of amazement, admiration and envy. An official competitive body has been created to govern the official competitions, with five different cube configurations a part of the speedcubing category. Other categories include one-handed, solving in fewest moves, solving with feet, and solving blindfolded.

That’s right, some competitors are able to use other appendages or even have their eyes covered and still be able to solve the puzzle. My mind is boggled at how this is even possible. The puzzle’s texture is consistent on all sides, so how does one know when they’ve solved it? Of course, this question’s coming from someone who would have had to disassemble the dang thing and put it back together to solve it.

So to those who have the ability to solve the nearly 30-year-old puzzle faster than Olympic champion Usain Bolt can run the 100-yard dash, I salute you. But lest someone thinks this has inspired me to dig my Rubik’s Cube out of the closet where it’s buried amongst other childhood toys, forget it. I’d still rather take on a crossword puzzle any day of the week.
